Arrival in Meißen – Choosing the Right Stop
There are three possible stations in Meißen:
Meißen Altstadt (Best for Old Town)
This is the most convenient stop for visiting the historic center.
- Walking time to Old Town: approx. 3 minutes
- Tip: Sit on the right side (in direction of travel), ideally on the upper deck. When crossing the Elbe bridge, you’ll get an excellent view of Albrechtsburg Castle.

Meißen Hauptbahnhof
- Walking time to Old Town: approx. 10 minutes
- Route: Cross the Elbe bridge toward the historic center
Good alternative if you prefer a short walk with river views.
Meißen Triebischtal (Best for Porcelain Manufactory)
If your main goal is the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, this is the most convenient stop.
- Walking time: approx. 5 minutes
- Flat and easy access
